Commercial Description:
Solstice Weiss is gently brewed, in the time honored tradition, using 60% malted wheat and a triple fermentation. This is a true Bavarian style Weiss bier. “Weiss” means white in Bavaria, which refers to the yeast that remains in our unfiltered bier. Note the brilliant white froth and subdued golden hue. Expect this bier to have a soft champagne like quality, complemented by a wheat character that sparkles with fruity tones.

This is the real deal in terms of body and flavor. Pours cloudy no matter how hard you try - great balance in the aroma of clove and some wood and much wheaty sourdough. Great flavors melt in waves; first some sweet bubblegummy esters, but immediately there’s the wheat tang - the sourness, the breadiness. Carbonation dimishes rapidly, and the sourness is a little much, but close on up there in authenticity. Thanks go out to the Facto man for the provision. I wish I had much more. Traditional.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy golden, small white film of a head, lively carbonation, with sparce lacing.   Wonderful dried banana chip like aroma.   Quite dominant, moreso than many other Bavarian examples.   Flavor is also quite fruity, banana & apples.   Slightly wheaty mouthfeel, a bit thick too, er syrupy like a doppelbock.   Nice body, good mouthfeel.   Better than I expected coming from what it looked like.   Finishes quite bananaesque, light tartness on the aftertaste, somewhat sweet bockish tinge.   Tasty!   Thanks goes out to heemer77 for the trade!

Gold Coloring with White Ring. Citrusy..Little Tangy... Dominating Coriander Presence...but Nice and Soft and Not Overbearing. I Prefer a Bit More Citrus in the Mix, But This Was a Very Enjoyable Hefe.

The operative word for this beer is pungent. Incredibly estery with aroma and flavor of circus peanuts, clove, and nail polish remover. This reminds me of Dark Horse Sapient Trip Ale with its reliance on yeast flavors. Tangy around the edges and rather thin-bodied. Aggressively carbonated, but what head forms quickly disappears. I liked this beer, but wouldn’t call it the second-best German hefeweizen. Thanks Matt (MrFacto) for the bottle!

Perfumey, banana yeast and pepper aroma. Golden color with a large fluffy white head. Nice wheat flavor, light fruity notes. Light bitterness in the finish. Soft mouthfeel. Good stuff. Thanks MrFacto
