| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Ok the corn ingredient kind of put me off as I know Bud, Miller et al use that as a cheap alternitave to something like say wheat or barley. Yet I couldn’t dislike this one at all. It not very cream but it is a slightly friuty ale that is quite pleasent. Nothing to knock a back over for, but a plesent summer drink. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Pale orange-yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is light and grainy with a slight fruit essence detectable. Flavor is grainy and bland. Boring is the word. I love these guys, but this is a waste of time jstraw (774), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 24, 2007 DRAFT Cloudy orange-gold with faint white head / Sweet, malt and orange nose / Medium body with low carbonation and hops, and fair finish / Sweet flavor of honey with undertones of oranges and flowers / Likely a fine example of a simple style. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy, pale orange with a thin lacy head. Aroma is dominated by citrus and hops alongside a mellower note of barley and earth. Taste is medium-bodied (though much heavier than I’d expected) with a mild creamy and sweet flavor with a finish of earthy flavors like corn, barley, and yeast. While not a knockout like some of New Glarus’s others, Spotted Cow is still a unique and enjoyable beer. Elizavyeta (110), Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2007 A cider-like cloudy pour with a medium head and medium effervescence. Flavor strongly implies apple, pear, and caramel with a sweet finish.
While overall enjoyable, this beer is simply too light to be a "special"; it reminds me of a more interesting Grain Belt (in the best way, of course). Best for hot summer days and grilling. BeerandBlues2 (3230), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Bottle purchased and consumed at Choice City Butcher and Deli, Ft Collins, CO. Pours sparkling yellow with a small, fizzy, white head, diminishing, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), light hops (grass, citrus), average yeast (soap, earth) with notes of banana. Light bodied, slick texture, average carbonation and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness. jfenglish (215), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Darn, and I so wanted to like this beer. The flavor was good with a grassy aroma and a tart bite to it. But with no head at all - none- and no carbonation, the mouthfeel was really weird and off-putting. It was like drinking a lemonade. Ugh. I’ll give this another try, I did get it in a pick-your-own-6 deal so maybe it was sitting on the shelf for a few years and the store was trying to get rid of it. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2007 Bottle. Clear yellow/amber with a medium, fizzy head. Sweet malt, very sweet without much hop profile. Some corn is evident. Barely bitter in the finish.
