Commercial Description:
Brewed with flaked barley and the finest Wisconsin malts. We even give a nod to our farmers with a little hint of corn. Naturally cloudy we allow the yeast to remain in the bottle to enhance fullness of flavors, which can not be duplicated otherwise. Expect this Ale to be fun, fruity and satisfying.

Eh. You already know my feelings of New Glarus, and Wisconsin in general. All that aside, this one is drinkable, highly so, but yet not very enjoyable. Corn is there. Not much else.

Pours a hazy golden color with almost no head. Interesting hint of honey in the aroma and a bit of grass. This one is honey sweet with an off-tasting almost rotten taste that sorta ruins everything nice about this one.

The smoothest beer I’ve ever tasted straight out of the bottle, very soft and clean tasting with a vague hint of cereal flavor. Edit: Just trying this after having had some new beers and my palate just doesn’t take to this after having had better beers ... just seems fairly ordinary now.

On tap at Diamond Dave’s. Smelled like a lager actually, very faint aroma anyway. Hazy green-yellow color. Actually tasted like a lager also. I could not detect fruit-y-ness, vanilla, or ’fun’. There was some corn hints. It is a beer with a full character, not a character I care for, but it had a full character for what it was. no lacing.

From tap. A light straw color with a head that dissipates quickly. Medium to high carbonation with little to no lacing. Not much aroma, but the flavor had a touch a lemon an spice, a bit of vanilla, and you could find the corn. Light body and mouthfeel. Not my favorite style of beer, but it was easy to drink.

On tap everywhere in WI. A lot of the bars I went to in WI didn’t have much of a beer selection. Most had a New Glarus tap and it was Spotted Cow. Pretty fruity and corney. Bubbley palate. Pretty good, considering the alternatives.
