Commercial Description:
Brewed with flaked barley and the finest Wisconsin malts. We even give a nod to our farmers with a little hint of corn. Naturally cloudy we allow the yeast to remain in the bottle to enhance fullness of flavors, which can not be duplicated otherwise. Expect this Ale to be fun, fruity and satisfying.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with footbalm, thanks Eric!) I openly admit to not liking this style of beer at all, but I still enjoy rating beers, good and bad. This beer is not good, at least not for my tastes. It’s dominated by a prominent flavor of corn, with hints of citrus and honey, plus a very gentle bitterness that’s barely perceptible. Obvious aroma of corn, plus some citrus and honey, with the honey standing out a bit more in the nose than in the flavor. Thin bodied, but fairly soft on the palate. Looks pretty lifeless in the glass, barely managing a thin film of white head before rapidly dissipating into oblivion, leaving just the cloudy, sickly yellow liquid. Definitely not my style of beer, but for the style, I guess this is okay.

Had on tap at Buzzard Billy’s in downtown LaCrosse, WI. Pours a cloudy medium golden with a slight white head. Sweet, honey-like aroma with some buttery notes. Flavor has some of the same buttery notes with an underlying essence of butterscotch - took me a while to pin it down. Some honey notes in there as was. Thick, creamy mouthfeel - excellent with food and very refeshing on this 98 degree Wisconsin afternoon.

Hazy golden color. Smells of apricot and yeast with mild malt background. Tastes of lemon, grass, and other muted tones of fruit. Nothing fancy with this popular brew.

Slightly hazy golden color with some yeasties and a short head. Mild spritzy malty aroma. Light bodied and mildly fruity with a faint hoppy note. Lackluster and not really what I was expecting, although I suspect it may not be the freshest in the world-no bottling info that I could see.

Aroma was like the smell in the air while driving past a malt house. Yellow body with decent head. Flavor is of lemon and is a refreshment for after work or dinner. Thanks to mom for bringing me this one while visiting.
