Commercial Description:
Brewed with flaked barley and the finest Wisconsin malts. We even give a nod to our farmers with a little hint of corn. Naturally cloudy we allow the yeast to remain in the bottle to enhance fullness of flavors, which can not be duplicated otherwise. Expect this Ale to be fun, fruity and satisfying.

Pale yellow pour with a white head. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet taste but the flavor really does not hit you as other beers do. There is not much to it. It has a slight creamy mouthfeel and some lacing.

Bottle at a weird dinner at some restaurant in Wisconsin. I had heard good things about New Glarus, but this beer was a less than exciting introduction. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma and taste are sweet- fruit, grass, corn, honey. Good enough that I ordered a second one upon realizing that there were no other interesting beers on the menu. At least there was a nice view of the Mississippi from the window.

Light barley malts in the aroma with a touch of corn. A little sweetness. Rather light actually. The beer pours golden with chill haze and a thin head. Moderate corny flavors, light malt sweetness and a crisp hop bite in the finish. Lightly sweet with a touch of corn. Still nice and tasty with a soft crispness in the finish.

Yellowish appearance but would not consider a cream ale. Pour in a cold glass and enjoy this one form New Glarus

12 o.z bottle (2009) had six months down the road in a lager glass; pours the color of an American mass-market pale lager (i.e. clear yellow/golden) albeit marginally hazier, w/ a decent soap sud head that diminishes into some robust lacing; aroma is slightly fruity w/ sweet cereals and a little malt; flavor is clean and unfortunately spineless- a little cereal, more hops than I would have expected, a little maltiness; finish is short and grape-like. Refreshing when had cold in the summer, but a rather tame brew on the whole

Okay. They can make Saison in New Glarus, Wisconsin. They’re calling this a cream ale? I thought it was supposed to be a Saison? Anyway, for a Saison, I thought it met the style but was not anything spectacular. If it’s a cream ale, then it’s pretty good for a cream ale.

Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a bubbly white head that fades rather quickly. Sweet aroma, like juicy fruit gum. The light citrus sweetness is present in the flavor from start to finish. Light creamy texture with good carbonation. I’m not a big fan of the style but this was very enjoyable.
