ahalloin (54), Arlington, Virginia, USA Aug 11, 2008 Pours a relatively clearish yellow color. Slightly hazy though with minimal head and little retention. The aroma is of light citrus, corn, and barley. Nothing too strong. The flavor is interesting in a way. It is like a lager only smoother at the nose but with a slight hop bite near the finish. It is great beer after a hard summer day’s work but no as impressive as others in the New Glarus line up.
mar (728), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 11, 2008 bottle thanks to daknole. very fruity, malty scent and a gold pour. quite easy on the palate with a nice citrus flavor and a slight bitter malt finish. the aftertaste of corn is not too good though. fidelis83 (95), Clinton, Iowa, USA Oct 7, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy honey gold with thin off white head that fades quickly with no lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, peach, wet grain malts and some malt tanginess that seems pretty interesting. Flavor is light sweet maltiness, some very vague citrus and bitter hops. A little passionfruit, some tangy malts and weak bitter hops to finish. A fairly crisp and refreshing beer despite its malty, sweet bias. BuckeyeSammy (397), New York City, New York, USA Oct 7, 2008 For some reason I was really excited about this beer. It is good... simple, clean, with extremely high drinkability. Would love a six pack on a warm afternoon with a burger. Heavy malt presence. Not too creamy for the style. Lightly fruity and spicy carbonation. Uaru02 (22), Simpsonville, Kentucky, USA Oct 3, 2008 Ubiquitous beer on tap in Wisconsin. Very good beer if all other tap beer on hand is regular domestic swill. Slight yeast flavor with a good warm body. It took two for me to get used to the flavor but, once I got it, I found this beer beer to be an enjoyable standard draght beer. daknole (1030), Plantation, Florida, USA Sep 20, 2008 Bottle, brought back by my friend Nick Wight..you da man! Pours a slightly hazy apricot color. Very little head. I get a grainy, malty aroma with some sweet fruit smells as well. Flavor reminds me of a sweet hefe. Pretty smooth and creamy. Thanks Nick!
