Strong taste and aroma of crystal malts. A bit sweeter than I expected. Bitter finish. Pretty average beer if you ask me. Not extraordinary but not bad. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Pours a brilliant clearish orange color, white head that fades quickly to nothing, no lace. Smells malty. Tastes malty sweet with just a hint of brown sugar. Almost dry tasting. This is the best tasting Oktoberfest I’ve ever had.
Nice, full mouthfeel. Nice vibrant carbonation. Very good beer. Not one of those Oktoberfests that is so sweet you can only drink one. Beerlando (2352), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Pours a clear golden orange color with a small, foamy white head. The foam settles to a wspy film, leaving random spots of lacing behind. The aroma is malty, with toasty caramel and cereal grains showing behind a veil of fruity esters and nutty notes. The flavor follows suit, with toasty almonds and light floral hops blending well with caramel malts and dry roasted grains. The medium-full, slightly sugary mouthfeel is smooth and pleasing, finishing short, sweet, and malty. Overall, pretty solid for the style. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
