Malty nose with nut shells and roasty caramel. "Incredible spice boquet"? Is the dry nuttiness supposed to be spicy? One-dimensional flavor that tastes like roasted malt. Light malt roast and leafy hops in the finish. About what I expect out of an Oktoberfest: a malty, unexciting beer. I’d rate it lower but at least it has an assertive flavor. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2004 A dark amber color with a moderate head. The aroma is caramel and nuts. The flavor is very malty and somewhat sweet with a nice hazelnut, caramel, and apple flavor. This one is a little higher up in the ABV dept than many oktoberfests Ive had but you can’t taste any alcohol. A nicely done beer. Facto is the man! mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Copper body with a small whitish head. Nose is nice and malty with pleasant fruitiness, caramel, and grains. Taste is rich and malty iwht lighter caramel, some fainter biscuity notes, and grains with light fruits. Body is medium to nea full. Finsihes with lighter fruit, caramel, maltiness and grains. Good beer! Would be a great session beer. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2004 12 oz bottle: great pour: golden bubbles fall throughout the brightly bronzed body, full sandy coloured head forms on top. Brisk, cane sugar aroma with a soft malt bill filled with sweet raisins, lush red apples, and toffee. Rich, nutty malt flavours, but without too much depth. Quick, sweet palate that is slightly grainy and toasted. Not my favorite Oktoberfest flavour, but a great aroma and fairly decent overall. atpayne (615), Zionsville, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2004 Nice clear orange amber with a quickly dissapearing off white head. The aroma is malty, nutty and clean. It is quite distinctive and crisp. The flavor is similarly malty and crisp. Good grains and there are some hops providing slight bitterness around the edges while maintaining a nice creamyness in the feel and finish. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2004 Orange in color, with a quickly disappearing head. Aromas of grain and hops. Flavor is grainy as well, with some sweetness and a light body. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2004 Red color with little head. Grainy aroma. The taste is like that of a feed mill. Interesting, and the direction of grainy is what I’d want in an Oktoberfest, but this is a little over the top.
