Interesting, and the direction of grainy is what I’d want in an Oktoberfest, but this is a little over the top. 5000 (2429), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA

Creamy body, not too overly sweet but can certainly notice the malt, nuttiness is apparent as well as some estery flavors. Very tasty Octoberfest compared to some of the others i’ve tried. Aroma of sweet malt(carmel) and noble hops. Translucent amber color smal white head. Syrupy bodied. Sweet carmelly finish. Thanks, Jason JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2004 Decent sized off-white and creamy head. Nice clear, slightly dark amber body. Sweet malty aroma... interesting. Can’t tell what it smells like. Its sweet bread dough I think, with a little bit of spice. Flavor allows a slight chocolate malt hint to break through the bread overtone. Slight hops wrap the tongue in the finish. Pretty good.
