Commercial Description:
Who is qualified to judge one's contribution? Is it the pure Wisconsin barley malt or shall credit be given to traditional German and English hops? Maybe it is the Belgian Monastic yeast or the Brewer's tender care? Combined, this is a sophisticated Abbey style ale. Both elegant and drinkable this ale is cleanly aromatic with spicy notes of clove and ginger. Crisp and fragrant up front while gracefully sliding into warm malt notes at the finish. Fermented natually in this bottle, the beer in your hand is a living testament to the value of many working together to create something bigger than the individual parts. Moving a mountain begins with a single stone.

12 oz bottle. .. Pale yellow pour, Avg white head, cloudy, lots of fizz. .. Light malt aroma with light hoppiness and lots of yeasty / earthy spiciness. . Pepper and coriander in there too. .. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Nice spiciness, very refreshing. ..light body, thin texture and medium carbonation. .. Interesting white beer interpretation, but a tad darker and more complex.

Deep apricot pour with quickly dissolving white head. The apricot is also evident in the aroma with some other citrus, spice and some light hops. Flavor is somewhat odd; it just didn’t mesh like I expected it to. Strong banana and bubble gum overtones...too much of both for my tastes. Probably the most disappointing beer I’ve had to date from New Glarus, but don’t worry, I’ll keep coming back!

Thanks to hopdog for this... Appears a light gold with a small white head that quickly fades into a mild cap and collar. Tiny speckles of lacing are left around the glass. Smell is of yeasty bubble gum, cloves, wheat, and citrus. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a yeasty, doughy blend jumping out in the flavors. Mouthfeel is yeasty, citrusy, and light bodied.

(Bottle) Pours a cloudy maize colored body with a small, quickly dissipating, white head. Aroma of clove, ginger, florals, and some citrus. Flavor of ginger, light lemon, clove, and banana with a somewhat chalky finish.

Pours without much head at all and from looking at some other ratings, the head is all over the board. Aroma is banana and Belgian yeast. Taste is nice & tripel-ish with some clove but more with mellow banana. Nothing too special from one of my favorite breweries.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with a very light, white head. Aroma of apricot and banana. Nice mouthfeel. Flavor is consistant with many Belgians. Flavor is also apricot-like with a nice yeast finish to it. Not really what I expected, yet a tasty offering from New Glarus.
