Commercial Description:
Who is qualified to judge one's contribution? Is it the pure Wisconsin barley malt or shall credit be given to traditional German and English hops? Maybe it is the Belgian Monastic yeast or the Brewer's tender care? Combined, this is a sophisticated Abbey style ale. Both elegant and drinkable this ale is cleanly aromatic with spicy notes of clove and ginger. Crisp and fragrant up front while gracefully sliding into warm malt notes at the finish. Fermented natually in this bottle, the beer in your hand is a living testament to the value of many working together to create something bigger than the individual parts. Moving a mountain begins with a single stone.

Pours without much head at all and from looking at some other ratings, the head is all over the board. Aroma is banana and Belgian yeast. Taste is nice & tripel-ish with some clove but more with mellow banana. Nothing too special from one of my favorite breweries.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with a very light, white head. Aroma of apricot and banana. Nice mouthfeel. Flavor is consistant with many Belgians. Flavor is also apricot-like with a nice yeast finish to it. Not really what I expected, yet a tasty offering from New Glarus.

12 Oz Bottle via footy. Banana ester aroma, simple and straight, with nips of candied licorice and pale honey. Pours a clouded opalescent straw color, with a film of micro white head. Flavor is a consistent phenol and ester firework show, bold with more banana, light sugars, and perky with faint peppers. The yeast quality really seems like a German ale to me, but I know this was shooting for "single" style. Chewy sap dripping hops balance out nicely on the back end. Well attenuated and leaving nothing but lemon drops and herbal leaf on the tongue. The smack carries some more robust biscuit, wheat granules, and drops of candied raspberries. Wonderfully quaffable, nuanced and clean, but not exactly presenting the flavors I was looking for in the style. Although, further down the glass some of the more robust yeast products fade into the background and a nice balance forms between the gentle body and delicious German hop flavor. There are bits of DMS finding a home on the roof of my mouth. Kind of a "meh."

12oz bottle wife got from Wi. Yeasty toasted bread and some sour lemon. Hazy yellow body with white head. Toasted bread grain and citrc acid sourness were blened nicely as to nither was more dominate than the other. Smooth and refreshing brew.

Yellow-light orange in color, huge white head, lasts awhile. Aroma very lite, faint banana, bubblegum and lemongrass. Some faint dusty pils like malt in the background. Flavor now is more along the lines of a saison almost. Floral with little, if any fruity esters. Again dusty cracker like pils malt. Very faint yeasty character. Highly carbonated. Had this in the spring and remember it being very fruity, huge esters, maybe it’s still at work, because seems like it’s drying out right now.

12 ounce bottl from Ughsmash
Pours murky, dark side of straw yellow. There was some short lived fizzy white head. The aroma has some pleasnat banana esters, a nice bit of sweet malt, and some spicy/herbal hop notes. The aromas transfer over to the flavor pretty well. I think maybe the malt and hops take the lead though. Medium body with lots of carbonation. The finish dries out nicely. A nice little Belgian pale ale.

Pours cloudy orange with a minor head. Aroma is somewhat sweet, fruity, and yeasty. Mouthfeel is bubbly and somewhat light. Flavor is warm, somewhat spicy and fruitful. Sweet. Rather yeasty.
