Nose is loaded with fruit, Belgian yeast and spices. Very appetizing aroma. Taste is big Belgian yeast notes, soft citrus, light spice, dried fruits, bubblegum, and sweet malts. Soem candyish notes intertwined as well. Body is bubbly and prickly. Medium overall feel. Some lasting bitterness through the finish coupled with more yeast and lemony tartness. Candyish fruits and sweet malts ride a wave of spices down the throat. Not bad! Petrucci914 (583), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 29, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a 2 finger fizzy white head. Torrents of visible carbonation maintains the head for a very long time. The aroma is quite fruity with alot of bready pale malt and estery yeast notes. Light cinnamon and spices. The flavor is pretty light and bland up front with some light sweetness and a spicy ginger laced finish. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with a biting spritzy carbonated finish. Fairly thinnish in texture. This one really doesn’t do it for me. It was OK, but nothing I’d seek out and trade for again. hbchrist (11), North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Had a full, "unusual" taste for me. Almost like a thick lager. Smelled nice, appearance was deep rust, had a strong, creamy head.
I can handle two before I start to feel overfull on the beer. Not a good session beer but goes well with a meat-heavy meal (steaks, burgers, etc). chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2007 More mild larger than Beligan wheat. Its best feature is a grassy farm yard aroma and flavor. If you are not bored by larger you would like this. Spotted Cow with Beligan yeast. keoki182 (305), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Poured a fizzy, clear, bright yellow with some white foamy head. Smelled very sweet, sugary and candy-like. Some clove. Flavor was very unique but also inherently Belgian. Sort of like a hefeweizen (probably the clove). Really smooth drinking and easy to imbibe.. Sophisticated is a great word to describe Stone Soup. Another hit by NG, Wisconsin’s finest. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

There’s a nice contrast between the honey-sweet ginger and clove aroma to the dry malty flavor finishing with hop bitterness, clove spice, and a pleasant orange rind note. This is a very well put together beer - not too sweet and the spicing elements play well together. I suppose it doesn’t hurt that it’s fresh, too! johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA
