Commercial Description:
Who is qualified to judge one's contribution? Is it the pure Wisconsin barley malt or shall credit be given to traditional German and English hops? Maybe it is the Belgian Monastic yeast or the Brewer's tender care? Combined, this is a sophisticated Abbey style ale. Both elegant and drinkable this ale is cleanly aromatic with spicy notes of clove and ginger. Crisp and fragrant up front while gracefully sliding into warm malt notes at the finish. Fermented natually in this bottle, the beer in your hand is a living testament to the value of many working together to create something bigger than the individual parts. Moving a mountain begins with a single stone.

12 ounce bottle brought back from Wisconsin by a friend. Thank you Eric! Having friends who frequently visit Wisconsin has some nice perks. Pours a hazy peach color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is bread, spice, caramel, banana, pineapple and other tropical fruit notes. Taste is banana, mango, apple, orange, pineapple. Damn this is fruity. Also, strong bread notes and cinnamon like spice notes. Medium-full bodied. Yet another hit from New Glarus... this is getting boring.

Pours orange gold with a quick head. Aroma is fruity, a little yeasty. Light bready malt. Just a hint of peppery spice. Flavour is apricot fruit, some spice, white pepper. Light hop. Very nice.

Interesting beer, I had no idea what I was getting into with a name like Stone Soup. Pours slightly cloudy blond with a white head. Clove, pepper, and other spices in the light aroma. Easy to drink and goes down smooth. I would say it is less sweet than a lot of other Belgians I have had, which isn’t bad.

Spicy peppery yeast is very tripel-esque. Hazy yellow, creamy white head, very much reminds me of La Fin Du Monde. Gentle sweetness with apricot and strawberry balance the yeast beautifully. Excellent.

Golden yellow and after the piss poor pour I did into the glass had a mutant seven finger head that faded away in time. Aroma of spicy Belgian yeast, clove, ginger, bubblegum and earthy hops. Taste of banana, bubblegum, clove and spicy yeast. Aftertaste is of spicy yeast mixed with banana. A bit on the lively in terms of palate but nonetheless a good offering.

Cloudy golden with thin white head. Aroma of yeast, banana and cloves. Flavor malty, with yeast, clove and ginger. Very spicy, somewhat acidic. Dry yet refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with a white 3 finger head. Wheat, lots of coriander and orange peel notes, light spices and lots of fruity esters. Some light clove and cinnamon with a thin body. Bubble gum banana notes. Not to sweet or cloying, a nice brew.
