Commercial Description:
Who is qualified to judge one's contribution? Is it the pure Wisconsin barley malt or shall credit be given to traditional German and English hops? Maybe it is the Belgian Monastic yeast or the Brewer's tender care? Combined, this is a sophisticated Abbey style ale. Both elegant and drinkable this ale is cleanly aromatic with spicy notes of clove and ginger. Crisp and fragrant up front while gracefully sliding into warm malt notes at the finish. Fermented natually in this bottle, the beer in your hand is a living testament to the value of many working together to create something bigger than the individual parts. Moving a mountain begins with a single stone.

This one poured a bright yellow color with a big white head. Aroma was yeasty, some sweet belgian sugar, spices, and some bready notes. Flavor was a bit disappointing compared to the aroma. Flavors mainly of cara malt, candy sugar, and slight spices, but a bit bland

Bottle thanks to brian23456 (BA)!
Hazy hay-gold with a thin white ring for a head. Unexpectedly spicy nose of honey, banana, and wheat. Flavor is quite similar with wheat and sweet gum and honey notes. Not expected, though not entirely thrilled either; the light body doesn’t mesh with the stronger flavors.

Pours a soft peach skin gold with a one finger white head. The nose is big on isoamyl acetate, some spicy hops, bubblegum, yeasty, weizen character. Flavor is banana and yeast, clove, weizen-like, mild citrus character. Palate is soft and creamy with subdued carbonation.

pours a clear yellow with a thick head. The nose is yeast and grain. The taste comes quickly with the yeast and dry grain qualities with a nice lemony tartness just under the surface. The finish is the delicious Belgian yeastiness with a little soapy smoothness following down my throat. I can’t stop saying how much I like this brewery: minor masterpieces seem to flow consistently.

12 oz. bottle - pale, straw gold with faint haze and quickly fading white head; bananas, mild clove and yeasty character; has a very nice rich and smooth malty character, though flavor is on the mild side; crisp, grassy hops with some lemon, ginger and dried cloves; a simple, solid belgian ale without falling into the over-sweetened trap that most US brewers seem to do lately

A nice beer with the smell of clove and hops. Hoppy flavor that goes down smooth. Overall a pretty good beer.
