| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Thanks to Beerdrenched for the trade on this over a year ago - it takes me a while to get to things at times. Pours murky copper with a small tan head. The aroma has lots of musty caramel malts that are quite biscuity, rich and sweet. Full bodied with a good amount of frothy soft carbonation. The taste starts with sweet malt and a moderate amount of fruitiness that is on the lemon / lime side. Somehow it works well for it. The finish has more of the lemon / lime, some spice and slight alcohol warmth. This was an enjoyable barleywine. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
