Title intriguing, beer not so much, but not bad either. Based on the ingredients bill, was expecting more of a pilsner product, but this was more of a macro American Pilsner. More quality than BMC, but it was what it was. Aroma was grainy with light grass. Flavor is sweet grains (no cloying corn aspects, though), lacking a hop bite in the finish, yet still a light grass presence in the flavor. Would have been better dryer. Wanted: more flavor. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 15, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Monger: Poured a golden color beer with a big pure white bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of light sweet malt is quite weak with no noticeable hops. Taste is also dominated by sweet malt which at least is pure malt and not some kind of adjunct. Carbonation is medium with a nice body. I understand they wanted to brew something light but this is a bit too light – I suggest sticking to the Yokel if you want a refreshing lager. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Poured the expected crystal clear gold color with a scant white head. No lacing. The aroma was sugar, corn and some grass. The flavor was more of the same. The mouthfeel was truly above average. Nice and silky on the tongue. one of the better PLs I’ve encountered. shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
