Tastes like a crisp light pilsner. Very unremarkable overall. Nothing too complex here. Clean, dry finish. This beer seems to be brewed for the macro fans. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA

Aroma is light grains, and a little bit of grassy hops. Flavor is light citrus, and grainy notes. Light and crisp on the palate. Easy to drink and light on the palate. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Dont know if i have ever had an extra pale lager before, seemed pretty typical to me for a normal lager. I love the hearty hop, cow, and bock, but this is a fine beer for people that arent as adventrous in the brew. Chucks66 (84), Beachwood, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Clear light gold/yellow pale, smells like a german pils, very light and crisp, nice mild hops bitterness but definitely mild. Would be a decent summer/hot weather beer, definitely refreshing, but not a whole lot going on, still a well balanced/made beer. After reading the style it is pretty accurate to style besides the hop flavor seeming lower than the 20s ibu range shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Note: I picked up a bottle of this while I was at the brewery. I hope to sample it soon. I will update my notes with more details at that time...
3/21/2007: New Glarus Totally Naked pours a clean and clear light golden yellow with a foamy white head (good lacing). The aroma and flavor have pale malt and a hint of spicy, noble hops. This beer has no real hint of bitterness, but it is quite mellow and creamy. Also, there isn’t any harsh corn and generic "beery" and alchol flavors at all. The body is medium-light and is mildly carbonated. This beer is soft, smooth and refreshing and an all around good lager beer. New Glarus definitely knows how to assemble a good beer from the lightest of lagers to the thickest of stouts and the most complex of fruit and other specialty beers!

It’s all malt but nothing else, very water, no bitter, no hop, no smash. This is a shamful compromise beer that should be ignored by true beer drinkers. Try the hearty hop instead.
