I love the hearty hop, cow, and bock, but this is a fine beer for people that arent as adventrous in the brew. Chucks66 (84), Beachwood, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Clear light gold/yellow pale, smells like a german pils, very light and crisp, nice mild hops bitterness but definitely mild. Would be a decent summer/hot weather beer, definitely refreshing, but not a whole lot going on, still a well balanced/made beer. After reading the style it is pretty accurate to style besides the hop flavor seeming lower than the 20s ibu range shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Note: I picked up a bottle of this while I was at the brewery. I hope to sample it soon. I will update my notes with more details at that time...
3/21/2007: New Glarus Totally Naked pours a clean and clear light golden yellow with a foamy white head (good lacing). The aroma and flavor have pale malt and a hint of spicy, noble hops. This beer has no real hint of bitterness, but it is quite mellow and creamy. Also, there isn’t any harsh corn and generic "beery" and alchol flavors at all. The body is medium-light and is mildly carbonated. This beer is soft, smooth and refreshing and an all around good lager beer. New Glarus definitely knows how to assemble a good beer from the lightest of lagers to the thickest of stouts and the most complex of fruit and other specialty beers!

It’s all malt but nothing else, very water, no bitter, no hop, no smash. This is a shamful compromise beer that should be ignored by true beer drinkers. Try the hearty hop instead. jcwattsrugger (5582), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Give credit where it’s due: some head and lace, clean & clear. On the other hand, thin, watery, no character and quintessentialy forgetable. Had it on draft tonight. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 5, 2006 I haven’t rated a beer in quite a few months, so I decided to make a return with some New Glarus goodness. Pours a very light yellow color with a small head. Smells like water soaked barley. I can’t say I was too enthused, based on the aroma, but the taste has a surprisingly strong maltiness to it. Bone dry hops. It seems to suck all moisture out of my mouth. Maybe that was the plan all along... get people to drink something because they’re thirsty, and it will only make them thirstier. Not a bad reintroduction to rating, but not exactly a beer a would sell my soul for. Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Ugh, a pale lager. Whoo hoooo and extra pale at that. Because it just wasn’t pale and lifeless the way it is. Ah, this is New Glarus though and I’m expecting better despite their obvious attempt at a BMC clone. Light watery body, nothing going on with the palate. Little citrus character...light....LIGHT malt on the body. Thus, the term extra pale. The only redeeming quality is the use of hops here that helped to give it some life.
