Commercial Description:
Pure and crisp, this is a beer with nothing to hide. Wisconsin two-row barley malt ensures a mellow and smooth body. We imported Noble Hop varieties from Germany and the Czech Republic to ensure a fine mature aroma with no coarse bitterness. Expect this beer to pour a delicate golden hue that sparkles in the summer sun. Extra Pale is brewed using all natural ingredients with no artificial additives of any kind.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours golden with a decent sized white head. Aroma of of citrus hops & sweet malts. Flavor is sweet, slight fruit, citrus, and mildly bitter in the finish, ok brew, good for a premium lager.

New Glarus has too many good beers to waste time on this one. Very much in the vein of a macrobrew, though more balanced.

I do not like larger (apparently no one else does) but this is above average. Add some citrus and you come close to spotted cow which has had inexplicable success for an middling brew

Bottle. Pours a very light neon yellow with a fizzy white head. Being that this is evidently not their flagship beer, I’m not sure why the talented folks at New Glarus waste their time brewing this urine. This is hugely watery with a slight metallic note. There is indeed no "coarse bitterness" nor is there much of anything else other than a slightly stale note of salt or metal or something. Not the best New Glarus brew. But, yes, it is still obviously more complete and satisfying than the average BMC.

Bottle. A good replacement for the standard macro type beers. Light golden color. Nothing too special but tastes smooth and has no additives.

Picked this up at a visit to the brewery. This beer pours a clear straw color with a very small white head and medium to light lacing. Overall aroma is fairly thin with hay, wheat, bread and malt being the predominant aromas. The flavor is basic with a more prominent bready flavor. Hay and cardboardiness abound but of course much better than your standard lager. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, some malty cardboard. Easy drinking beer, fairly dry, hay and grass finish, medium levels of carbonation.

Appearance is light gold, little carbonation. This beer has a somewhat sour aroma,. The taste is much more balanced, some hops, some malt. Not especially smooth, nor harsh. A decent beer, but not one I found all that special.

12oz bottle (thanks to buckybeer) poured a clear golden color with a white head and good lacing. Had a soft malt and corn aromas with a very crisp taste and a smooth lager finish. Overall a great clean session beer that fits the style perfect.
