Commercial Description:
Hearty and full-bodied this is a “Big” bier. Brewed in the Reinheitsgebot tradition, our Bock comes by its mahogany hue naturally. You can expect this bier to be complex and smooth with deep chocolate and coffee undertones, complementing the rich bouquet.

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours brown with thin tan head. Sweet aroma of dates and mild caramel. The flavor has the same tones with light dark fruitiness from dates, plums and raisins. Form the malts are roastiness and caramelization.

This pours out as a nice luscious clear brown and has an inviting aroma too. Tastes nice and has a good linger that I consider necessary for a good bock.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin brown head. Aroma of bubble gum and chocolate. Man, this is easy drinking, taste is roasted malts, but not much in the way of chocolate, more like a light molasses. Silky mouthfeel, better than what I would’ve thought as I generally don’t like this style.

Bottle from NG Brewery. Deep mahogany pour with a thin tan head. Sweet yeasty aroma is very appealing. Flavor is very sweet with flavors of chocolate and caramel malts. Concur with another who indicated a slight cinnamon flavor in the background...very interesting. Dangerously easy to drink for over 7%, but thankfully its a bit too filling to drink too fast...quality improves as it warms too! Another great offering from the folks at NG...these folks know how to brew!

nice sweet aroma and wonderful dark brown, ruby almost body. the sweetness is maybe too overwhelming. this is very easy to drink and i’m suprised by the alchohol content. if you’re from the minnesota or wisconsin the name of this beer alone makes it irrestiable.

Courtesy Gillard. Pours a hazy, dark brown, with a small off white head. Smells of bready yeast, dark fruits, and caramel malts. The flavor is very sweet, alot of those caramel malts really stand out. Maybe even a touch of some cinnamon in there too. Pretty smooth and easy drinking brew. Not a bad rendition of this style.
