Commercial Description:
Hearty and full-bodied this is a “Big” bier. Brewed in the Reinheitsgebot tradition, our Bock comes by its mahogany hue naturally. You can expect this bier to be complex and smooth with deep chocolate and coffee undertones, complementing the rich bouquet.

nice sweet aroma and wonderful dark brown, ruby almost body. the sweetness is maybe too overwhelming. this is very easy to drink and i’m suprised by the alchohol content. if you’re from the minnesota or wisconsin the name of this beer alone makes it irrestiable.

Courtesy Gillard. Pours a hazy, dark brown, with a small off white head. Smells of bready yeast, dark fruits, and caramel malts. The flavor is very sweet, alot of those caramel malts really stand out. Maybe even a touch of some cinnamon in there too. Pretty smooth and easy drinking brew. Not a bad rendition of this style.

Dark brown colour with a tan head. The Aroma is sweet malt and roast. The flavor is rich with caramel, nuts and a bit of hops in the background.

Pours a thick dark with a thick but short lived head. Aroma of raisins, light chocolate and maybe a little light coffee. Body is thicker than I thought, almost syrupy with the same tastes as the aromas. Overall a solid beer made again by New Glarus.

Got this one bottled in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Very dark brown pour with a rapidly dissipating head, nice sweet maltiness in the nose, fruity with plum and cherry, lots of malty complexity. Interesting and very good.

12-oz. Muchas gracias, SenorFacto! Love the name--quite the expression growing up in my Norwegian-rooted family. Pours nearly black with a thick and bubbly but short-lived tan head. Huge cookie dough nose. Maybe some raisins or other dark fruit in there. Medium body with fairly soft carb, and plenty of rich malt-sugar-y flavors throughout the attack and mid-palate. Nougat, cookie dough, raisins, semi-sweet chocolate, brown bread. Tasty and dead on for the style. Nice lightly resined hop finish--not too intense or too lingering. Very well thought out and carefully made beer.
