| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Courtesy Gillard. Pours a hazy, dark brown, with a small off white head. Smells of bready yeast, dark fruits, and caramel malts. The flavor is very sweet, alot of those caramel malts really stand out. Maybe even a touch of some cinnamon in there too. Pretty smooth and easy drinking brew. Not a bad rendition of this style. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Very dark brown pour with a rapidly dissipating head, nice sweet maltiness in the nose, fruity with plum and cherry, lots of malty complexity. Interesting and very good. after4ever (2822), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2007 12-oz. Muchas gracias, SenorFacto! Love the name--quite the expression growing up in my Norwegian-rooted family. Pours nearly black with a thick and bubbly but short-lived tan head. Huge cookie dough nose. Maybe some raisins or other dark fruit in there. Medium body with fairly soft carb, and plenty of rich malt-sugar-y flavors throughout the attack and mid-palate. Nougat, cookie dough, raisins, semi-sweet chocolate, brown bread. Tasty and dead on for the style. Nice lightly resined hop finish--not too intense or too lingering. Very well thought out and carefully made beer.
