| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 31, 2009 Deep brown beer with a thick tan head. The aroma is quite cocoaish with a very nice, clean and well lagered malt character. A little bit of toffeeish sweetness as well that is really damn tasty. A nice mix of vienna, chocolate and some sweet crystal malt. Clean but with a kiss of light date/raisiny sweetness. There is a bit of cocoa/coffeeish flavour on the back. Rich, intense and delicious. These guys nailed this one. GranvilleTim (529), Granville, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Dark reddish-brown pour with a brown head. Nice sweet aroma with hints of roasted and chocolate malts. Nice creamy flavor- roasted and chocolate malts with the sweetness coming out at the end. The sweetness improves as the beer gets warmer. Lacing on the glass. Glad I bought a 6-er.
