Commercial Description:
Inspired by the Trappist brewers of Belgium, our heavyweight Quadruple tips the O.G. scales at 25 degrees P. Master Brewer, Daniel Carey, sourced the Brett yeast that boldly frames this refined and complex strong ale. First coddled in our Oak lager tanks and then slowly matured in bourbon barrels. This is a bold beer that sips like a refined cordial of nutmeg, dried cherries and vanilla. Perfect for lying down or sipping by the fire tonight. http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/beers/unplugged belgian quad.html

Lighter amber color with a sparkling white head. Aroma has a very nice bready, yeasty, cherry, sweet thing going on and some Brett detectable. Flavor is a tasty and highly drinkable Bretty-sweet mix - Flavors of cherry, lots of oak, sugary sweet malts, and a syrupy dessert goodness that was surprisingly good. Nice feel - the Brett shines nicely. I really enjoyed this unique interpretation of a quad!

12 oz bottle. Poured amber a bit lighter then I had anticipated. Aroma of sweet raisons and sugar. Flavors are candy sugar and as it mellowed some dark fruits were more evident. A little too sweet for my liking.

A beer with several different flavors, nutmetg, cherries and vanilla, that make this full bodied brew delicious.

12 oz bottle. Crystal clear amber with a small light tan head. Sweet, fruity aroma, light yeast and caramel. Full bodied, lightly syrupy. Sweet malty flavor, mildly fruity, caramel, a very light sour note. Damned interesting beer. After warming fully, light peach and apricot come to the fore, some light nutmeg spiciness. Very good!

Pored a clean darkish red/orange color with a sticky white head lace. Alcohol and strong sugar dominate the aroma. Flavors are raisins, alcohol, toffee, carmel, oregano, basil, and subtle hints of bubble gum.

Dark orange/amber with a diminished head of off-white. Funky Belgian aroma. The sweetness overpowers the things going on with the malt and hops in this one.

12oz bottle-A honey golden body with a nice off white head and an aroma of tartness, oakie, and a little bit of spices. A full bodied brew which comes across with the taste of bourbon, cherries, slight alcohol, and vanilla. A very well balanced beer that should be sipped. Nice job.

12 oz bottle from trade with pantanap (Thanks!) Aroma is sweet candy cherries, a bit of a oak and woodsy note, nice a spicy too with the spices really coming out in the pour. Appearance is a clear golden/amber color with a medium off white head that diminishes into a small film on the top of the beer. Taste is big on the cherries, and you can tell that its been in bourbon barrels from the surprising bourbon taste. Big on vanilla too almost really overpowering This is a definite sipper. Palate is lightly carbonated and this stuff packs a punch. Overall, This one falls short in my opinion for a Belgian Quad.
