Commercial Description:

"Some people paint, some sing, others write ... I brew." - Daniel Carey

A few times a year, we will cut Dan loose to brew whatever he chooses, uncensored, uncut, unplugged. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again.

Napoleon hailed this tart beer style "the Champagne of the North." A lively and elegant masterpiece this Berliner Weiss is a kaleidoscope of fresh flavor. Barrel fermentation, Pinot Grigio, Riesling grapes and Wisconsin White Wheat are bottle fermented with five proprietary yeast strains. A connoisseur’s rare jewel both spirited and subtle, enjoy your sparkling toast under summer stars.

Bottle shared with the barrios, scottyp, curly. Thanks Lithy! Hazy mustard pour with good ring of white head. Intense lemon tart aroma, but like an airy, not thick and syrupy like a gueuze, and maybe even a hint of cinnamin spice? Flavor is like a tart lemonade. Scottyp was spot on with the chardonnay quality. Even though it starts very clean, the finish is dry and dusty, leaving a not entirely enjoyable dirty finish in my mouth. Good refreshing brew, but there’s just something in the finish I don’t particularly care for.

Pours a slighly hazy pale gold with white head. Nice lacing as well. Aroma of lemon, bread, apple, some chardonnay qualities as well. Taste of lemon tart, apples, wheat with a very dry finish, and I mean it dries my mouth out almost completely. Light and crisp as well. Very interesting brew.

Another great creation by Dan Carey. Very lemony and very sour, but oh so good. Some people add a shot of raspberry syrup to this brew, but not me. I like the taste. Very refreshing on a hot, summer day. Thanx again Dan!

Poured clear, pale and gold with streams of bubbles racing towards a thin cap of white foam. Minimal lacing. The aroma was a bit bready, slightly sour with some apple and lemon. The flavor was a nice blend of tart lemon and crisp apple cut by some bready sweetness. Thin, drinkable mouthfeel. Good. Sessionable.

Bottle courtesy of Tim. Thanks. Hazy bright yellow with a fizzy white head. Lemon, green apple, grape, and oak aroma. Very smooth silky texture with a bright palate. Good crisp citrus taste followed by a tart sour fruit taste, and finishing with some zesty white wine character.

pours a straw golden yellow with a niced size head that leaves quickly. A lot of bubbles. notes of white wine, green grapes, slight lemony tartness, watermellon, grass, fresh herbs, and some flea market funkiness to it. Very good. beer. smooth creamy mouthfeel. interesting, tasty, fun to drink, and refreshing. These unplugged beers never stop surprising me.

Very good. Aroma is of fruity lemon. Apperance is just perfect, a very thick head over a murky yellow liquid. Taste: This is my first of the style. A burst of fruit and then dryness. Pleasant and interesting! Palate is dry, thin, and bubbly.
