Commercial Description:
Available July 2008

"Some people paint, some sing, others write ... I brew." - Daniel Carey

A few times a year, we will cut Dan loose to brew whatever he chooses, uncensored, uncut, unplugged. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again.

Napoleon hailed this tart beer style "the Champagne of the North." A lively and elegant masterpiece this Berliner Weiss is a kaleidoscope of fresh flavor. Barrel fermentation, Pinot Grigio, Riesling grapes and Wisconsin White Wheat are bottle fermented with five proprietary yeast strains. A connoisseur’s rare jewel both spirited and subtle, enjoy your sparkling toast under summer stars.

Very good. Aroma is of fruity lemon. Apperance is just perfect, a very thick head over a murky yellow liquid. Taste: This is my first of the style. A burst of fruit and then dryness. Pleasant and interesting! Palate is dry, thin, and bubbly.

12 oz. bottle - thanks bitbucket; clear, gold, lots of carbonation; aromas of rice and lemons; texture is super thin, soft and a little medicinal; lemons, wheat and yeast; my first berliner weisse I think and interesting to say the least

Bizarre (I’ve never had a berliner weisse before, so excuse me) So lemony! Like a thick undersweetened lemonade! I know that this has grape in it too, and so it is more weird, so I will try a regular berliner weisse. Eventually. Cuz this isn’t my thing, exactly. It was refreshing. But if I drank too much, the acidity would get to me. Good, though

White head over a darkish yellow body. The aroma is lemon, wheat. The taste is similar, citric, lemons, tart, and a musty yeasty, body.

Golden clear color with not much head. Aroma is simple and citrus sour with a nice level of carbonation. Flavor is citrus sour and some other fruit. A little champagne like and has some sweetness too. Very good.

12oz bottle courtesy of BeerBelcher. Pours clear yellow with a thin white head. Yeasty aroma with a bit of malt and some sourness. Tart lemon flavor with a touch of apple and a malty finish.

( 12oz bottle thanks to mar) Pours a clear very pale yellow with no head but nice lacing. Nose is funky, lemon zest. Taste is sour with more lemon, tart and puckeringly sour on the cheeks. The linger on the palette is absolutely fantastic.

Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Slightly fruity aroma, some tartness. Flavor is light fruit, and tart. It is a different beer for me, as in something new and in a good way. It had a dry finish.
