Commercial Description:
In 1985 before The Wall fell, and just after the birth of our youngest daughter, Dan followed his Siren’s Call making the true Brewer’s pilgrimage to the birthplace of modern beer; Pilsen. Inspired by the noble brew he scribbled notes; triple decoction, 100% Czech Moravian malt, fermentation in unlined oak tanks, generous amounts of Saaz Hops, Krausening and a three month ice cold lager. An elegant masterpiece of complexity lost to change in the Czech Republic. We resurrect and invest, by brewing without compromise, that exact Old World recipe and this is the brew - Bohemian Lager.

12 oz bottle via trade. Pours a clear copper/orange with lots of clinging carbonation and a fairly large frothy off white head. Aroma is loads of Saaz some biscuit and grain and slight metallic notes specifically a handful of change. Palate on this one was beautiful with a medium mouthfeel average to slightly strong carbonation a good bitter bite at the end but an overall creamy feel. Flavor is lots of grain and Saaz but also a sweetness that is reminiscent of honey. This is one nice beer that I would grab if it was around me but alas it is not so I cant.

Bottle. Pours with a fairly dark, almost copper color and a medium head. Pretty nice aromas of hops and grains. Great bitter flavor but very clean tasting, the noble grainy hops definitely take center stage. However there is nice malt component in there as well as expected from a Bohemian style lager. Better than any European beer available in the states mainly due to its freshness.

Beautiful dark gold colored body with a fluffy and long lasting bright white head. The aroma is a little bit grainy with some strong floral hop notes. There is some over cooked pizza crust, but in the brick oven way. The taste has some light notes of bitter orange peels. There is also some roasted peanut. The body is lightly carbonated, and that makes this super smooth. Excellent.

12 ounce bottle- pours a light gold, excellent clarity, with a thick one finger head. very fine lacing. Nose- grassy, spice from the saaz hops, toasty grains. Taste- creamy smooth initially with a sharp hop bite, and then dries out with the pils malts, toasty and slightly sweet. Grainy finish, wood shows up. Mouthfeel has considerable texture for a pilsner. Very well done

This is the best-smelling lager ever - what a sweet, full aroma! There are some Mitteleuropean hops in here, and an enjoyably full flavor. This is as good a lager as I can think of, and it puts the macros to shame. Thanks to Adrian, who put together a post-Thanksgiving beer tasting that included this.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light orange-gold body capped by a small, white head. Smell: Spicy, lightly herbal Saaz hop scent above a soft honeyed maltiness and minor yeast note. Taste: The malts deliver hints of dough and grain alongside a delicate honeyish sweetness. Quick flash of fruitiness. Tiny pinch of yeast. You get a nick kick of Saaz hop spiciness and bitterness. The malts bounce back, providing a final touch of sweetness to counter the bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A very good, very well crafted Bohemian Pils. It’s always nice when a brewery isn’t simply foisting a dumpy pale lager with a "pilsner" title slapped onto it on craft brew drinkers.

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grainy citrus aroma. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where met.
