Commercial Description:
In 1985 before The Wall fell, and just after the birth of our youngest daughter, Dan followed his Siren’s Call making the true Brewer’s pilgrimage to the birthplace of modern beer; Pilsen. Inspired by the noble brew he scribbled notes; triple decoction, 100% Czech Moravian malt, fermentation in unlined oak tanks, generous amounts of Saaz Hops, Krausening and a three month ice cold lager. An elegant masterpiece of complexity lost to change in the Czech Republic. We resurrect and invest, by brewing without compromise, that exact Old World recipe and this is the brew - Bohemian Lager.

Bottle via trade thanks to badbeer on BA. Clear golden color with a creamy one-finger white head and good lacing. Aroma is sweet pale malt, corn, and citrusy/grassy hops. Flavor is basically what Budweiser hopes it could be in its wildest dreams. Sweet pilsner malt with some corn/graininess, but in a good way, and grassy, earthy Saaz hops, and a little citrus. Body is medium-light with a fairly dry finish and some hop bitterness lasting. Great example of a rather uninteresting style.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden, with a tiny bit of head that has some nice lacing character. A little sweet and malty with bit of citrus. A very drinkable lager.

Bottle from stfun? Light orange in color, decent head. Typical lager aroma, light hops and sweet malt. Taste is nice for a lager. Light hops, light crystal malt. Light in texture, easy drinking. Overall...great example of a lager but still boring compared to other craft ales. Thanks josh

Bottle. Pour is an almost clear golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is light maltiness with a pleasant Saaz hop backdrop. Also a touch of bread and cookie in there too. Flavor is mildly sweet up front with a cereal grain kick after that. Finish is mildly hoppy with a mild yeasty/ bready finish. Solid.

Courtesy of northernbrews...and I believe previously by Styles

Bottle: The aroma is sweet with some grain, floral notes, and grassy hops. It pours a transparent gold with a moderate white head. The flavor starts lightly sweet with a hint of citrus. The finish has some light floral and grassy hops. I’m not the biggest lager fan, but this is very drinkable. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel.

12oz bottle from the brewery. This is the second of two bottles I purchased. Served in a vintage footed pilsner glass that belonged to my grandfather. Lightly toasty, light woodiness, floral hops. The aroma is subtle, but complex. Brilliant clarity, very light straw color with a one fingered white head. The taste is lightly kilned malt, slightly toasty, with some light floral and spicy hops near the end. There is a lingering floral, earthy and woodsy flavor. Full bodied for the style with an absolutely clean, balanced finish. I am brewing a Vienna lager as I drink the beer and I keep on getting notes in the beer that I am getting from my wort. There is a element to this beer that you do not seem to get from a single step, all pils wort, it is more reminescint of my pils and munich malt. This is a very complex, very drinkable lager. I love it. Too bad it is not available in 6 packs as a regular or as a seasonal.
