Commercial Description:
Sublimely elegant this toffee toned bock is rich with a blend of Wisconsin and German barley malts. Over four months of resting in oak bourbon barrels gives this beer a wonderfully smooth body that will improve and mellow with age. Should you choose to enjoy this classic today, you can expect a treasure of vanilla, oak and carmel notes to be bolstered by hops from France, Slovenia and Germany. Wild Brett yeast sings in harmony to the tune of Bock. 20 degrees Plato OG makes this bourbon barrel a masterwork to remember.

Dark amber clear, thin head that quickly dissipates. Oak and vanilla aroma. Malts, bourbon, and vanilla. Another very fine effort from NG

A medium tinted beer with some head. Great bourbon aroma - it’s corn you know. Smooth above average mouthfeel corn bourbon sourness that is malted down. Satisfying aftertaste.

Thanks to Ryan for this one. Clear caramel body, light mist of white bubbles. Aroma is almost nonexistent, but finally shows a bourbon and caramel character. Sweet candy flavor, low bourbon, vanilla, no brett noticeable.

(12oz bottle, thanks artusory) Minimal off-white head atop crystal clear deep amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, Bourbon, some raisin, light caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, raisin, some peach, light wood. Flat medium body, some stickiness. No sign of the Brett indicated on the label.

Clear dark amber with a tiny off-white head. Barrel in the nose shows more as oak rather than bourbon with lots of vanilla, some caramel and golden fruits. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with herbal hops, lots of oak, vanilla, raisins and plums. Medium body is soft but with a thin finish and light carbonation.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden copped, nearly red, but with little to no head. Nose is a fairly nice mixture of sweet, sticky candy sugar, candied malts and sweet bourbon - thankfully not some huge pancake syrup mess like some of these experiments tend to be. Flavor is pirkcly sharp, peppery on the tongue, with a sweetish malt syrup flavor upended by a sharp, robust, almost dry bourbon flavor. Very intense and striking flavor, woody and nutty and bready butnot muddled, rather crisp, clear and polished throughout. A really, really nice beer.

Pours a clear deep copper color with small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of vanilla, oak, bourbon with a nice sweetness. Flavor is much of the same, some great vanilla and bourbon with great sweetness at the end. Medium to full body finishes this beer perfectly. Great beer.

From bottle : Pours semi-clear copper color, with a half finger of white fizzy head. Decent amount of carbonation. Nose of bourbon and apple, smells like there is some Jim Beam in there. Taste is Alcoholic oak, of course, with some vanilla notes...can still taste and smell the Jim Beam big time, more so as it warms. Aftertaste is rasins and a little alcohol. Medium body in the middle, ends light. Not to bad.
