Commercial Description:
Sublimely elegant this toffee toned bock is rich with a blend of Wisconsin and German barley malts. Over four months of resting in oak bourbon barrels gives this beer a wonderfully smooth body that will improve and mellow with age. Should you choose to enjoy this classic today, you can expect a treasure of vanilla, oak and carmel notes to be bolstered by hops from France, Slovenia and Germany. Wild Brett yeast sings in harmony to the tune of Bock. 20 degrees Plato OG makes this bourbon barrel a masterwork to remember.

Bottled. An amber beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty again with notes of over ripe fruits, as well as caramel and a light note of alcohol, that leaves a slight burn in the throat.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Bierkönig. Clear, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Distinct bourbon aroma. Medium body, sweetish, roasted malt, caramel and plenty of bourbon accents. Very subdued bitterness. A nice one. 280907

12 fl oz bottle. Pours amber/orange clear with a little lacing head. Bourbon aroma, slight malty. Sweet flavour with an underlying bourbon flavour lifting the mellowness a bit higher. Slight acidic flavour. Quite nicely balanced.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris_O’s HogTownHarry minifest. Thanks to Chris. Thick dark amber with a slight white film. Slightly over the top barrelly bourbon aroma. Flavour is more of the same. A little too sweet and a little too much bourbon. Barley and caramel with some light hoppage. Heavy malt finish. Pretty good.
