Deep red, almost black beer with a light brown head. Aroma is very sweet with notes of wood. Very good mix of wood and cheeries. Flavor is very sweet and dries at the end.

Mahogany body with cherry wood highlights. Significantly less in stature than a traditional stout. No head, just a wispy film with a foamy, off-white edge. Tiny spots of sudsy lacing dot the glass. The aroma is nothing short of intoxicating. Fresh, sour cherries and lightly roasted chocolate malts comprise the base. There’s also an utterly surreal scent of a snow covered conifer forest and freshly snapped oak twigs. Incredible nose. The flavor is almost as impressive. Tart, chocolate dipped cherries, vanilla, oak, and a touch of new leather blend sublimely on the palate. Perfectly balanced between sweet and sour. The mouthfeel is light and silky, as the appearance suggests. Smooth and incredibly easy to drink. What a fantastic beer!

Bottle shared by OldGrowth. Thanks Tom! Poured a dark black cherry brown with a small head and some nice off-white lacing. Aroma is cherry pie, chcolate malt, and some spices. Flavor is more cherry pie (but far less potent than the Belgian Red), chocolate, some strong woody/oaky notes. Finishes slightly sweet. This is a strange beer. If given it blindly, I’m not sure I would have guessed it a stout. A yummy beer no doubt. How could one go wrong with those wisconsin cherries?

Bottle. Pours a nice dark brown with a smallish tan head. Fair bit of cherries in the aroma, with a little vanilla and a trace of the oak. Flavor is cherry pie, some medium malts and some spices. There seems to be a slight metallic note on the roof of the mouth, but nothing that takes away from the enjoyment. A little thin, but quite drinkable and rather refreshing.

From WeeheavySD. Phenomenal beer. lightly tart, chocolate and coconut nose and the same in the flavor with maybe a little wood and smoke. It was hard to wrap my head around this beer other then to say it was one of the more uniqrue and delicious beers Ive had.

WYSIWYG. Looks nice, with a dark brown pour and tan head with next to no lace. Smells like chocolate and cherry pie. Taste is excellent, with a mix of coffee/cocoa sweetness and smokiness, and a punch of cherry. Vanilla and slight alcohol finish. From a bottle.
