A deep red beer with a light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wood, combined with a slight acidity and notes of berries. The flavor is sweet and at the same time acidic with strong notes of wood and lesser notes of berries, leading to a dry end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a beautiful, warm, reddish mahogany with an off-white head. Vinous, wooden aroma with some vanilla. Medium body with sweetish, vinous notes - slightly perfumy. A distinct sourness and absolutely no bitterness. 061006

black, fine tan head, streaks of drippy lace, rich sweet cherry aroma with lots of rich chocolate, creamy body, rich chocolate and cherry flavor, nice sweetness is balanced by a light cherry tartness, the tart cherry flavor grows as it warms with the rich chocolate providing a great background,

12oz bottle acquired in trade with The_Enemy (as part of his surprise, unsolicited box of beers!) - thanks! Pours a deep ruby red color with a smaller sized off white head. Where to start on the aromas! Aromas of oak, vanilla, light cherries, light chocolate, some smoke, and whisky. Nice and complex with something new every sniff I took. Everything blended and worked perfectly. Tastes of strong cherries with light oak, vanilla and chocolate. Sweet and tart. In my book, New Glarus is definitely on top when comes to fruit beers.

(Bottle, courtesy of Lumpy) Pours a dark brown body with a spare beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate covered cherries. Flavor of chocolate covered cherries and a bit of woodiness with an oily mouthfeel. Not particularly stout-like.
