12 oz bottle Thanks to and shared with Axilla. Poured clear dark amber in color with a thin light tan head that left little lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel and grain with some boozy notes. Tastes of caramel, nutty grain, dark fruits with some alcohol warmth. Certainly a sipper but overall not very complex.

Honeycomb and marigold aroma. Cloudy brown, headless.Extra full body. Oak, currants, horehound, and candy sugar. Odd green onion finish. Peppery mouthfeel. Alcohol is evdent but somewhat concealed, given its concentration.

Bottle:   Burnt caramel, dark thin sudsy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Sorta reminds me of Hair of the Dog Dave.   Hot bready nose, slight cheese funk that reminds me of Deschutes Mirror Mirror.   Fiery maltiness on the tongue.   Feels warm, but the alcohol isn’t too strong.   I think this has a higher ABV than it feels or tastes.   Minor sweetness, but could use some more.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Its almost like something was iced out of this beer, and it wasn’t just water.   Not bad, but the other New Glarus Barley Wines were more interesting.

Bottle shared by eaglefan, thanks B! Pours a murkey brownish/red color, small head. Aroma of some dark fruits. Taste is a well balanced for being so a high alcohol content brew... Dark fruit, slighty malty. Texture is slick and oily, goes down smooth. A unique barleywine. Thanks B

Bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey, most likely? Shared at SL by me. Poured a red-brown color, near nil head or lacing, looking pretty "big’! The aroma was English Barleywine: fruity, caramel, toffee, dark fruits. The flavor followed with the dark fruits coming to the fore, but it also had a touch of very light bitter roast under it all as well as some maple. Alcohol was detectable in the nose and flavor, but this wasn’t "hot" by any stretch. A nice one by NG, and I thank you, Bill!

12oz. bottle, with appreciation to Beerlando. Pours an attractive clear garnet color with a good sized fluffy off-white head. Aroma is full of a variety of overripe dark fruits, caramel, and a little toffee. Flavor is fermented dark fruits, caramel, and stronger notes of a sherry or cordial. A sipper for sure, but not as much complexity as I’d hoped. Thanks again Brian!

12 oz. bottle, light head, pours a reddish brown. A very good 12. oz barleywine. Although there are hints of alcohol.
