Commercial Description:
Do not waste time attempting to box this brew into some esoteric guide to styles. This is Dan’s bold creation. His passion for unfiltered Weiss collides with Cascade Hops inventing our Imperial Hefe-Weizen. Dry hopping boldly rules over Wisconsin red wheat and our special strain of Bavarian yeast. At almost 20 O.P. this is the super mac daddy of Weiss beers. Decoction mashing was followed by excessive dry hopping to create a fierce onslaught of clove, cinnamon and citrus all in this living beer. Don’t bother waiting to enjoy - the time is now.

Much thanks to hopdog for passing this one onto me. Pours a hazy golden orange with a big rocky/foamy white head that left tons of sticky lacing. Aroma of banana, clove, lemon, orange peel, wheat and a touch of alcohol. Flavor was a nice mix of that same banana, clove, wheat, some sweet maltiness and a touch of alcohol. I like this imperial version of a Hefe!

12 bottle courtesy of Ughsmash. Aroma was odd some burnt bread but also had some good clove and citrus on the nose. Hazy gold body with good white ceamy foam head and plenty of lacing. Flavor was good citrus lemon bitter zip along with some vanilla to thicken the body texture up. Medium bitter bite but a good palatable Hefe. Thanks Jason.

Sent as an extra from goryshekwych. Thanks George! An awesome wheat beer. Pours a hazy orange/red with a 1/2 inch head. Aromas of banana, clove, and Cascade Hops. Almost has enough hops to compete with some IPA’s in terms of the nose. Flavors of banana, clove, bubble gum, pretty big grapefruit, and some alcohol. This is a nice fruity beer and I really enjoy how the Cascade hops complement the Bavarian yeast. All things considered, it is very drinkable and that is scary at 9.6%. One of the best hefe’s I have ever had. More please.

Bottle. Interesting nose, hard to pin down. Coriander, clove, bubblegum, and a vague acidity. Cloudy yellow with a thick bubbly head. Creamy with a candy-like sweetness punctuated by spice.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy, golden body with a small, fizzy, white head. Smell: Aroma very nearly stinking of coriander with lesser notes of toasted banana chips, tangy-smelling wheat, and grapefruit juice. Taste: Tangy wheatiness with a dash of citric grapefruit juice hot on its heels. Then, it’s back to wheat with a subdued sweetness, though it builds upon warming. Flavors of banana and a big hit of coriander. Medium-high bitterness. Some floral hints prior to the tangy, bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Drinkability: Pretty exciting for wheat!

Pours hazy golden with off-white head. Way too many items to list for the aroma... ditto for the flavor. Tasty & potent!

Wow, Dark fruits throughout.. Not just in aroma but also in flavor. Full bodied, thick. Such an interesting beer, hardly your average hefe though. I wish this was distributed in Ohio. Sampled at FFF on Dark Lord day 2008.

Holy smokes, what a Hefe!! Best I’ve ever had. Rich, creamy, loaded with banana, cloves, and citrus... Very strong as well. Careful with this one...
