Commercial Description:
Do not waste time attempting to box this brew into some esoteric guide to styles. This is Dan’s bold creation. His passion for unfiltered Weiss collides with Cascade Hops inventing our Imperial Hefe-Weizen. Dry hopping boldly rules over Wisconsin red wheat and our special strain of Bavarian yeast. At almost 20 O.P. this is the super mac daddy of Weiss beers. Decoction mashing was followed by excessive dry hopping to create a fierce onslaught of clove, cinnamon and citrus all in this living beer. Don’t bother waiting to enjoy - the time is now.

Bottle via swoopjones - thanks! Pours a cloudy dark golden with a big-ass white head. Crazy aroma, sitting somewhere between a hefeweizen, a saison, and a hop-driven IPA - yeast, spices (cloves, coriander), banana, hops, lemon, a slight funkiness. Flavour is just as varied and complex. I tried to wrap my head around it for a bit, but eventually just sat bak and enjoyed it. Fantastic!

bottle: pours cloudy golden dark hay colour with a large white porous head some lacing. aroma is great like an ipa meets a hefe wiezen, great characters of a wheat beer like clove ,banana, wheat, and touches of the bubblegum. then on top of all that is a wonderful fresh floral hops. flavour is a good bitter hop then wheat malts, some spice (clovey), citrus peel. finiahes with a sharp bitter. fantastic beer.

Too peppery, Too spicey. Too wheaty. Just too much hefeweizen going on for my buds. Bananna trie to help come in and save the flavor but everything is just so extreme leaving for a very mediocre experience.

btl thanks to kingpinipa. Slightly hazed golden/orange pour with alot of off white head and lace. Spicey aroma centers around corriander and then just other spices. Flavor mirrors aroma slight warmth woth a good bitter finish. The spice lingered after the drink was gone. More body than I expected. A very fine complex beer unique to say the least.

Tasted 4/5/08. 12oz bottle. Hazy with a golden hue. Finger width of white head. Grassy citrus hop aromas. Pineapple note. Nice nose! Rather full bodied with citrus wheat flavors. Big effervescence. Citrus bomb! Sugary with a good burn. Piney and tart. Peachy and slightly vegetal. Crisp and tingling. Good wheat flavor with a nice dry finish. Piney citrus grapefruit flavors. Sweet bready notes. Full rounded palate. Fun drinking.

Bottle: Big banana aroma with moderate bubblegum, citrus, yeast, and light citrus hops. It pours a hazy orange with a small creamy white head. The flavor starts with moderate citrus and banana. It finishes with a moderate citrus hoppiness and light bubblegum. It leaves a pretty big bubblegum aftertaste. Medium bodied with mild and very soft carbonation.
