Commercial Description:
Do not waste time attempting to box this brew into some esoteric guide to styles. This is Dan’s bold creation. His passion for unfiltered Weiss collides with Cascade Hops inventing our Imperial Hefe-Weizen. Dry hopping boldly rules over Wisconsin red wheat and our special strain of Bavarian yeast. At almost 20 O.P. this is the super mac daddy of Weiss beers. Decoction mashing was followed by excessive dry hopping to create a fierce onslaught of clove, cinnamon and citrus all in this living beer. Don’t bother waiting to enjoy - the time is now.

Bottle: Big banana aroma with moderate bubblegum, citrus, yeast, and light citrus hops. It pours a hazy orange with a small creamy white head. The flavor starts with moderate citrus and banana. It finishes with a moderate citrus hoppiness and light bubblegum. It leaves a pretty big bubblegum aftertaste. Medium bodied with mild and very soft carbonation.

Bottle thanks to xnoxhatex. Pours cloudy golden with a thin frothy white head with some craters. Strong apple spice aroma, doughy. Strong alcohol notes, very hot, some sweet apple, clove and spicy banana flavor. Quite rich. This stuff sizzles. Dry hopping is noticable. [A lot better now than it was 35 beers into the WLV tasting... =p ]

(Bottle) Pours a hazy golden color with a copious amount of thick white head. Aroma of banana, clove and spice. Intense banana, bubble gum and spice in the taste. Light citrus and seemingly mild hop notes as well. Fine carbonation. Oily, thick mouthfeel. I would be interested to know what yeast strain was used in this beer, because it really brought out the wonderful flavor in this beer.

Big hazy yellow, nice foamy head. I notice now that it’s 9.6%, no wonder my girlfriend was drunk after drinking 3 of em’! Flavor is big wheat, citrus fruit, some spice. Beautiful hop presence. No doubt that New Glarus has a lock on the big amazing wheat beers. Another solid brew from the crew at NG.

Appearance: cloudy orange, creamy beige head, sudsy lace,
Aroma: huge banana aroma fills the air upon popping the cap but closer inspection revels it is partially obscured in the glass by a spicy clove character,
Flavor: big sweet fruity flavor, lots of orange and tangerine sweet citrus, hint of fruity banana, touch of spicyness adds balance along with the raspy wheat character, additional earthyness leaves a lingering bitter finish,
Overall: Dan is a genious

Bottle: Pours a bright orange color with a puffy white head and a ton of lacing. Very nice carbonation. The nose is very phenolic with some spicy orange and grapefruit notes. Almost comes across as hops but it’s the yeast spiciness here. The flavor is chewy and malty with plenty of yeast, grass, hops and tasty wheat. The finish is fruity, like pear and clove. Yummy! Not much banana, but it’s quite nice with how intense the whole thing is. Thanks Jake!

Bottle, Merritt Island Throwdown. Pours totally opaque thick looking with white foam on top of orange/peach-colored body. Intense hopped up nose with orange and lots of pineapple. Inviting. Thin, silky, satin palate again with lots of pineapple juice. Fun stuff.
