Commercial Description:
Do not waste time attempting to box this brew into some esoteric guide to styles. This is Dan’s bold creation. His passion for unfiltered Weiss collides with Cascade Hops inventing our Imperial Hefe-Weizen. Dry hopping boldly rules over Wisconsin red wheat and our special strain of Bavarian yeast. At almost 20 O.P. this is the super mac daddy of Weiss beers. Decoction mashing was followed by excessive dry hopping to create a fierce onslaught of clove, cinnamon and citrus all in this living beer. Don’t bother waiting to enjoy - the time is now.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange, creamy off-white head, that lingers through out, leaving nice lacing rings as it goes. Aroma is right away sweet with some fruit notes in, yeast in the background. Flavor is dominated by sweet malt, fruit notes, mainly banana and yeast. Had a slight metallic taste halfway through that didn’t last. Not what I was expecting.

Power weiss! There are reasons to double the strength and flavor of a hefeweizen, and all of them are good. Great smoothness accompanies the traditional banana and clove flavor.

Went into this one thinking it would be a standard hefe and came out initially disappointed but then pleasantly surprised. Hazy orange amber with a medium wispy off white head that hangs out and leaves streaks of lace as it turns back into beer. Aroma of yeast, orange, fruit peel, spice, bread and alcohol. Taste of alcohol, fruit, sweet malt, clove, cinnamon with a yeasty backbone. Warming on the back end. I’d give the nod to dancing man, but this one is very good at what it does.

12oz bottle. Copper in color with a small white head. Yeasty aroma that is also sweet and malty with some hop. Super yeasty flavor with a bit of pepper, malt and a touch of hop in the finish. Not my style, but a decent brew.

Pours with a large foamy head, pretty hazy, with definite traces of citrus in the aroma. A great brew!

Trade with noncaloric. Cloudy gold. Moderate head. Good lacing. Tasty banana chip and clove scent. Big banana flavour with pepper. Chalky body. Big hops are almost lost in the front and middle but do make a citrus finish.

Poured from the bottle a hazy orange-gold with a significant rocky white head. Lovely cinnamon and clove aromas set off the bright citrus that dominates. Like sidling up to Carmen Miranda’s headgear and taking a long, decadent whiff. Flavor is grassy and yeasty, and accented by spiciness and lemon zest. The finish is dry and somewhat hot, but not overly boozy. Delicious. NG once again proves itself the master of all things wheat.

Pours murky gold with an orangy hue. A one inch head of white fluff settled down to a full skim-coat on the surface. Smeared lacing with errant dots remained for the duration. Aromatics lead off with a blast of bannana skins, lemon zest, orange rinds, and doughy yeast. Clovey phenols, quanine, grapefruit pith, and vanilla bubble gum follow through. Medium bodied, with a crisp, creamy and lush mouthfeel. Expansive carbonation adds a nice liveliness. Tart wheat, lemon pulp, light malt, and juniper berries start the palate. Bitter orange pith, spruce bark, cut grass, and grapefruit seeds step forward. Finishes with a firm and quite drying bitterness, a lingering citric twang, mild alcohol, and an earthy fade. Wowza, quite a bit going on here, especially after the brew warms up. Pretty well hopped up too. Highly drinkable but far from boring. Big ups to BA goethean for opportunity.
