Surprisingly light - almost a little watery - body with a light underlying tartness. Hard roasted malts with a piquante whiff of smoke. Finishes dry with some malt bitterness. 270509

May 27, 2009 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Light meaty and smoked aroma. Smoked and slight acidic flavoured. Distinct meat note - towards bacon. Bitter, slight acidic and smoked finish.

rich dark chocolate flavor, lots of smoked character, touch of sweetness from dark caramel malts, light earthy hops balance the caramel sweetness and meld with the smokeyness, light lingering bitter finish rises out of the smoke and dark bitter chocolate,

Apr 16, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Tom’s UGT Pt. 2.
Almost black mahogany colour with a very good tan head. Rich smoky malt all round. The Bamberg influence is clear, and dare I say it, in bottle form at least, possibly a touch better. I generally go weak at the knees for good smoked beer and this one is bloody awesome.
