Aroma is sweet maple syrup, ham, oxidation, pineapple, baked brown sugar. Flavor is sour yogurt, brown sugar, tangy pineapple, crazy odd citrus, not anything like I was expecting. Sugar body, fine soft sizzling carbonation. Wish I could try this again!!!

Dark coppery brown, off white creamy head. Complex dark cherry and vanilla oak aromas ride soft waves of bready caramel and musty balsamic vinegar. Deep tart cherry and wet wooden vinegar tones are well rounded with a near perfect lightly sweet and sour finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A fantastic sipper that reminds of Rodenbach… daknole (2940), Plantation, Florida, USA

Aroma contains vinegar, oak, turbinado sugar and cherries. Flavor has tons of cherries, brown sugar, vinegar and wet woody characteristics. Great beer. Davinci (296), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Creamy brown pour with thin off white head. Aroma is of baking spices and brown sugar, rather pleasant and un expected. Taste is similar with a nice gentle sourness weaving it’s way in there. Medium to thin body. Decent carbonation. Really pleasant and unusual.

What is it about NG sour brews that they all turn into Belgian Red with a little time? This is just a bit more muddy, dank type of Belgian Red. While the Belgian red has a very cherry pit flavor to it this is more of a sweet-stink. Taste is similarly musky cherry and there is only a little hint of acidity at the very end. But it is basically a sweet cherry musk.. I like the parts but I need a little but more sour and something else to bring it all together. Or a little less musk with this low level acidity. has a sweet cherry aftertaste. Appearance is very murky reddish brown, no head. after4ever (2766), Brier, Washington, USA
