Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Red color with a thin fizzy head. Nothing but cherries with a very sweet taste and a slightly tart finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark ruby red with almost no head. A little bit fizzy, but not like pop or champagne. Definite aroma of cherries. Great cherry flavor and mouth feel. Overall a great brew, would recommend to anyone, even if they’re not a "beer person". Good for beer-sissy’s and girlfriends.

Bottle pours dark red color with a head that looks tan colored. Aroma is cherry candy. Has a medium mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Flavor is sweet cherry and not much else. This reminds me of a cherry candy I used to eat when I was a kid. That’s what the flavor is to me. Overall its what I expected it to be.

Bottle. Aroma of sweet cherries (but naturally sweet cherries, not artificially sugary or anything). Flavor adds in some sour cherry notes, but is still predominantly sweet, and certainly all about the cherry. Though tasty, this one didn’t give me near the cherrigasm that Raspberry Tart did for its namesake fruit, and was more a pleasant drink than particularly memorable.

I guess this is a beer, judging by the ingredieants, but my tastebuds thinks it is a cider. Amber red pour with a little seafoam on top. Sharp, sour, cherry wine aroma. This is rich in juice and wine flavors, and would make an excellent spring or summer after dinner drink. It is similar to NG Raspberry Tart, but not quite as much fun. Thanks again to Adrian for sharing his stash of fine brews.

Enjoyed on New Years Eve ’08. Pour is a funky red with an aroma full of cherry and rhubarb. Very sweet. Flavor is much the same. This is very fizzy with a soda pop feel. Nice, though. This is one I had heard so much about that the hype was bigger than the beer.

Tasted thanks to Ken, and a bottle thanks to Daknole. Pours a hazy ornage/red in color with a decent but quickly diminishing head. Aromas fresh sweet juicy cherries, and some yeast. Flavor was nothing short of amazing, Tart, slightly sour, yet sweet cherries. I only had a couple ounces for my first taste and I savored every drop. Thanks to Daknole I know have a bottle of my own to savor at another time. CANDY!

Pours a unclear murky dusty burnt faded red with a thick creamy light red froth on top, looks delicious. Aroma of very juicy cherries, similar to black cherries, simple yet fresh and enticing. First taste is acidic followed immediately by tart and ever so juicy sour cherries, this stuff is sooo tasty Im trying to gulp it. It really tastes like a cherry capri sun and the yeast adds that pie crust like effect. Long acidic finish. The body is excellent and very appropriate, not sticky nor syrupy, just enough consistency, more of a blend between soda and juice. ooo haha this might be one of the only beers Ill ever drink cold.
