Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Pours dark red with little to no head. Aroma is what you would imagine, cherries. The flavor profiles the cherries very well. There is tartness and bitterness from the tannins of the cherry skins. Glad I was able to get two bottles. The next one will be for a special occasion.

Bottle, thanks to Brandon Orr. Orange-red with a thin but full head. Wow -- this exudes a full-on sweet cherry aroma. It drinks extremely sweet-tart, like cherry juice or cherry jelly. Ultimately I decide this is no kidding cherry pie in a glass. Like my wife’s Aunt Janet’s cherry pie. This would go great with a big gooey chocolate dessert. (#3446, 5/3/2008)

Could drink this all day. Just plain delicious. Initially sweet then smooths into a tartness that’s as crisp and clean as anything I’ve ever had.

Bottle, courtesy Ughsmash. Pours a dark red color, with peach highlights. Small, creamy tan head, and decent wet lacing. Aroma has a few bushels of cherries, with some strawberry and pineapple thrown in the mix. Has an exotic fruit punch feel. Flavor is full of cherries, and strong on delicious fruit. Spicy, too; cinnamon, nutmeg...basically just delicious cherry pie. Well-carbonated, very refreshing. Simply awesome. Could see myself drinking this all day, every day.

Sampled a 750 at Dark Lord day at FFF 2008. Left me speechless. A dessert beer for the kings. Sweet, tart, strong. Incredible. I need to find another one of these.

bottle by way of footy... red pour with brown tints. thin pink head does not stick around. this smells exactly like fresh baked cherry pie... aromas of cherries, pie crust, butter, vanilla and a bit of woodiness. the palate is sweet for sure but definitely worth it. the flavor is cherry pie again... ridiculous. smooth creamy mouth feel. body borders full...10/4/9/4/18/4.5

bottle from the baconator aka thecheeseman... woohoo! a whole bottle to myself! opaque mahogany brown with a small nutty white head. this smells like i imagine an open field full of goats grazing on herbs and grass in the clean air in south of france smells... that dream mixes with tart cherries (almost brined?), wood, grass, herbs, earth, cinnamon and cream. it’s sweet on the palate but at no time is it cloying. very rich flavors or the aroma along with cooked cherries, vanilla, graham cracker/maltiness and a beautiful fruity tartness. spicy finish really helps to clean it up. full body leaves a smooth buttery film on my teeth. spice and tartness/acidity keep it real...10/4/10/5/19/4.8...

Red pour with a thin pink head. Strong cherry aroma. Flavor is sweet cherry, caramel, apple, and some wood. Some butter. Finishes very sweet, medium carbonation. Great for a 4oz after dinner pour, but it gets to be too much if you even split a bottle with another person.
