Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Poured a little cloudy, but upon investigation this is normal. Monster cherry flavor explosion. Quite tart but managable. This is a very unique and well done fruit beer.

Much thanks to Eben for sending this my way, it’s delicious. Ruby red body allowing enough light to shine through to watch a steady stream of bubbles rising and giving birth to an effervescent pink-tan head that diminishes quickly to a froth laying on top. The aroma is much like a cherry dessert. Lots of sweet and slightly tart cherry notes along with sugary, doughy, and cinnamon spicy undertones. The flavor is a dark cherry flavor without much if any tartness. It’s smooth, almost creamy in the mouth, again with some kind of cinnamon or other spice. Palate is not syrupy like many fruit beers, but rather nice and quenching.

Awesome amber red body below an initial and considerable head. The cherry here is both sweet and sour, though the funk is very minimal here. Taste is easy and quenching and insatiable.

Served this in place of champagne at my wedding. Tasting notes to follow when I get another bottle. Re-Rate Very strong tart cherry flavors, mingle with a musty yeastiness and a good sour flavor. Looks beautiful in the glass with its pink head and beautiful bright red hue. Smells like cherries and a little funk. There is a cherry pie flavor that is a little odd in the mix though.

No matter how many times I try this it never ceases to amaze me. Just the right amount of tartness, creamy and rich mouthfeel, that is wonderful with food or with desert. Fills the palate with wonderful fruit flavors, and just the right amount of carbonation. Beautiful!

Bottle thanks to tytoanderso. Pours a hazy garnet-amber color with light pink, fluffy head. Aroma is dominated by slightly sour cherries, it actually made my mouth water. Flavor is balanced pretty well, even though it is slightly sweet, but not cloying. Taste of semi-sweet, semi-tart cherries, with slight oak notes and a bit of balance added by a slight hops presence. Wish there would have been a bit more oak character to dry the palate on the finish, but it is still nice. Wish I would have shared this with my mom, she probably would have enjoyed it. Thanks a lot Tyler, this is good stuff.
