Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle (thanks to Ofortuna). Sour milk, tart cherry aroma with light hint of barnyard. Cloudy red-orange-brown with small head. Sweet and sour cherry with a hint of mulling spices - similar to the sweet fruit lambics. Slightly dry acidic finish. A true work of art - phenomenal fruit beer.

Bottle thanks to JB175... Pours with a muddy brown body with a creamy pinkish head, Aroma of strong cherry, sweet syruy, more cherries, oak and other berries. Taste is cherry pie syrup, with a very sweet liquid pie element. Syrupy mouthfeel nice carbonation. Tons of flavor and aroma for a 5.1% ABV beer. Good stuff...

Bottle. Amber-red beer with a light off-white head. Cherry, sweet pastry aroma. Sour cherry, cherry-pastry flavor with slight tartness. Medium body. Cherry and pastry linger. Straight and to the point.

Sampled at le Mondial de la bière 2005. Pours a murky red color with a thin pinkish head. Very appealing aroma of cherries with lingering acidity and sweetness. Amazing flavor of cherries with very well balanced acidity and sweetness, I think that this balance is the major strenght of the beer. The body is medium with an oily and slightly syrupy texture, the carbonation level is moderate. I’m happy to finally taste this beer and it’s definitely not a let down !

Sample courtesy of a travelling fellow beer lover. This brew pours a lustrous brownish, purplish red with a medium thick and fizzy beige head that dissipates steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet cherries blended with other tart fruit, sweet spice, and wheat. Medium-bodied with a complex fruit character of fresh cherries and strawberries along with spices and malts. Light wheat and yeast undertones at times. The finish is richly fruity and tart and leaves a lingering cherry aftertaste. Quite simply the best Fruit beer I have had.

Big cherry aroma, hazy reddish colour, with a large pink head, plenty of lace. As true a cherry flavour a beer could have! Tart, acidic, wonderfully dry finish, yet very refreshing. Delicious, Sensational!
