Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Complex and flavourful, a well-balanced fruit beer with an explosive fruit character. I guess if anything it could use a touch more dark malt.

Bright red, cloudy with small off-white head. Aroma is cherry, sweet with a hint of sourness. Taste is sweet up top, and sour cherry mid-tongue. Medium/full body. Somehow it avoids the cherry soda experience and gives you something wonderful.

Hazy murky red color, small off-white head. Intensive fresh cherry aroma. Lactose and sweet cherry in the flavor. Sweet, sugary, good be more sour. Some peppery notes in the aftertaste. I was expecting more and therefore I am wondering how this is in Top50.

Bottle at MesandSim’s tasting Aug 09. Thanks to HogTownHarry and Mes for this and to Ruth for allowing us to open this. Clear deep red, lasting beige head. Aroma of red fruits and toast. Some raspberry jam. Cherry and raspberries, slightly sweet like cherry juice. Some good cutting acidity on finish. It is very good. Very cherry-ish. Bit of toffee sweetness. Like cherry toffees. Good? Better than some krieks from Belgium? Not quite. Different and good though. Glace cherry flavours.

75 cl bottle. Maraschino cherries aroma with mint. Sweet, sugary, almost syrupy cherry flavor. Marzipan. Sweet indeed, but somewhat vinous and liquor-like. Some lemony sourness. A bit too sweet, but actually quite nice.

Bottle. Muddy orange red colour with a small pinkish head. Sweet cherry marzipan aroma and a very sweet cherry, marzipan taste. Medium to full body with a long sweet finish.
