The nose is all cherries and reminded me of the filling to a Hostess cherry fruit pie. Very bubbly on the tongue. My little sister thinks it tastes like a wine cooler and my Dad says it tastes like crap. I think it tastes like cherries. Very tastey real cherries and not the fakey artificial flavors in most beers. It does taste like a cherry pop. I like this well enough, but I don’t get why it is so highly rated. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

My mouth was coated by a silky-cherry skin texture that left me licking and sucking my lips until all the deliciousness had diminished. Sourness and maltiness play a huge role in this beer; nice vinous notes to boot. oh so balanced and complex! Much better than last sample for some reason. A solid gateway beer. Just needs more oak and tartness. PhillyBeer2112 (2087), Orange Park, Florida, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 28, 2006 Pours deep hazy red that is fairly dark with a light tan head. Aroma is full and rich with lots of cherries. Medium to full bodied with a nice amount of soft carbonation. Flavor is filled with pleasant cherry that is not too sweet & very natual tasting. While this isn’t the most complex beer, it is incredibly enjoyable - rich, filling and wonderful. Great example of a fruit beer. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Deep red color. The aroma is outstanding! Rich, fresh cherries! No hop aroma here, this lets the cherries take the front of the stage and they don’t disappoint at all. The flavor is nicely tart with fruity sweetness which is perfectly in balance. A delightfully different beer. SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Bottle at Toms Ultimate Glasgow Tasting: Poured a ruby red with a white head. The aroma was sweet fresh cherries and fruit. The taste is amazing seemed as if I was biting into a fresh cherries with those juices slashing on my palate. The finish had just enough bitterness to keep it balanced for me. Couldn’t choose a better beer to rate for 1000 or a better event to do it! bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA

Aroma is domintated with dried cherries. Medium body and carbonation. The taste is sweet/tart like a liquid version of Trader Joe’s dried Montmorency cherries. Dry finish. If you like tart cherries, this beer is for you - it’s more like a cherry cider than a beer.
