Jan 1, 2009 Enjoyed on New Years Eve ’08. Pour is a funky red with an aroma full of cherry and rhubarb. Very sweet. Flavor is much the same. This is very fizzy with a soda pop feel. Nice, though. This is one I had heard so much about that the hype was bigger than the beer.

Dec 31, 2007 Pure cherry aroma and flavor. Like a glass of cherry pie, with hints of the stone in the aroma. Pretty much just like delicious, delicious cherry juice.

Dec 21, 2009 Bottle with big thanks to bonk0076. Thanks man, been lookin forward to this one for quite awhile. Pretty red pour that turns orange towards the edges. Smells of cherry cough syrup. Large fruit and cherry smell. Very potent. Taste has a big cherry taste with a slight tartness towards the front. Has a jolly rancher flavor also. Very fruity and intense.

May 20, 2008 hazy, kinda redish brown, with decent white foam, nose is cherry, almost fruit punchish. flavor is of sour cherry, nice tart flavor, really really nice, good one for 1000, thanx Hogtown Harry

Aug 30, 2005 Updated: May 25, 2006Bomber from Jcapriatti. Great thanx for a terrific brew. Pours cloudy copper red with a small off white head. Nose is cherry muffins, cherry pie, very doughy and a great tartness in teh end. Has a cidery feel with lots of movement in the mouth. Fizzy and thick, cherrys and apples permeate my entire mouth.

Sep 6, 2006 25.4 oz bottle. Cloudy caramel cider with a thin tan head. Buttery cherry nose; not quite sweet. Little subdued. Damn! Real cherries but better. Slightly sour makes the mouth water. Body like a cider with just a smidge of carb giving a back tongue bite. Really balances out the sweet nicely. There’s an earthiness thats irresistible. Yum.

Aug 23, 2004 Cloudy rusty red. Creamy light beige head w/ slight reddish hue. Excellent lace. Robust aroma of black cherries & cinnamon rolls. Thick, syrupy feel. Complex black cherry flavour w/ undertones of iron, wood, &, yes, cinnamon rolls. Lightly sour w/ a semi-dry finish.

Aug 25, 2009 75cl bottle, thanks to photomike for bringing both this and the raspberry tart to the August SC tasting! This is another great fruit beer by NG, but I’m afraid it suffered a little bit being tasted along side raspberry tart, which is hands down the most amazing fruit beer that I have ever had. Maybe it’s just my preference for raspberries though, because the beers were almost the same except for the fruit flavor. Red color with a small head. The aroma is just a surge of cherry pie, almost leaning toward maraschino cherries in a fake way, but managing to tip-toe the line and come across a little more like pie-filling. The flavor is pure cherry pie with a light tartness and surprising and welcomed lack of sweetness in the finish. The aroma doesn’t burst with quite the amazingness of raspberry tart, but this was quite good in its own right.
