Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Pretty ruby red color, suprisingly long lasting head, cherry vanilla aroma,a very very sour cherry taste, had a thickness to it. I prefer the Lindemans Kriek

Tasted @ the Uber Tavern in Seattle.
Brought by one of the guys at the Uber Tavern. Thnx! Interesting fruit beer. Amber, red colored brew. Lot’s of cherries in the aroma. Medium sweetness, cherries and somewhat sour flavor. Nice mouthfeel.

Pours to orangey red from one of the most attractive bottles of all time, producing a pinkish beige head. The pound of cherries in my Belgian Red dances enticingly in the air, with silken oak and vanilla gracefully bedding it back down. Flavor is glorious, the taste of the Garden of Eden before the fall. Sour and sweet cherry with a hint of chocolate and the tears of angels. Tartly acidic in the mouth with a dry, distantly woody finish. Perfect for the holidays, or maybe the afterlife... a true achievement in artistic craft.

Updated. An undefinitively aged bottle. Spicier and less forceful aroma. Develops an odd beet flavor glazing what is more a thick fruitcake body than a brilliant mash of cherries. Less perfect but nonetheless intriguing and still satisfying.

Pours an attractive red color with a nice pink head. The cherry aroma is dominant and mouth watering. Reminds me of a good tart cherry pie. The cherry flavor is just fantastic. Not too sweet and not too sour. Truly a fantastic beer that I wish I could get my hands on more often.

Bottle shared by Taverner, pours ruddy brown with no head. Nose and flavor are sour cherries and not a lot more. I was looking for a bit more complexity, but only found a hint of oak. Not at all that this was a mediocre beer. The cherries and nutty oak flavors blended beautifully and tasted fantastic. Very smooth on the palate.

After "avoiding" this for years, finally trying it. I can’t believe I haven’t had it yet! Nice clear ruby red with pink highlights. Thin fizzy pink head. Very cherry aroma... very sweet and full of cherries. Yummy. Flavor is... cherries. Great sweet cherries with a bit of wood and a slightly sour finish. Need to drink more! This is great stuff!

bottle.....aroma: sweet, tart and a big burst of cherries coming through the nose....appearance: resembling apple juice only a little bit darker. a slight existence of head but really almost non noticeable....taste: sweet, sour tart cherries, sugary but not off-putting......excellent excellent fruit beer as others have attested to. i’m in total agreement.
