Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Thick and hazy red with nice redish brown head. BIG cheery nose with a touch of yeasty malt. Huge cherry up front that sours out into a malty treat. What a great beer!

750ml bottle from Badbeer. Pours a deep red color with some brown highlights. Just s few fizzy bubbles for a head. Smells like fresh cherries. Tastes like cherries, cherries and more cherries. Some malt mixed in there as well. Thin body, only faint carbonation.

An interesting beer with a huge fruity nose of cherries, apples and cinnamon. The beer it self is a deep brown-red with an offwhite head. Cherries cherries and cherries, along with the occassional apple-cinnamon, are what this beer offers. I only wish it had more tartness to it. Somewhat one dimensional, unfortunately. But still good. On the Update, it is liquid Cherry pie and has grown on me a ton... Delicious.

Could drink this all day. Just plain delicious. Initially sweet then smooths into a tartness that’s as crisp and clean as anything I’ve ever had.

In the bottle. Very nice color, just screams cherry. Sweet and smooth, very drinkable. Could have finished the bottle by myself, but had to share it with four others, maybe the next bottle. Lives up to the hype.

2008 Bottle - Pours a brownish red, quickly dissipating of white head, aroma is cherry cherry cherry, flavour is brown sugar and cherry on the front, that rapidly turns into bitter greatness, what a wonderful treat, this was a fantastic experience...

Aroma was very sweet and full of cherries. Pours a ruby hue with a small, thin pinkish head. The taste is very complex for a fruit beer. The dominating taste is like a fresh baked cherry pie, but in a liquid alcohol form. There is a few hints of maybe oak? Very good beer, want to get more of this now, thanks to Sully and Grainbelt for this one!!

Sampled at Hellbilly’s Hellraiser courtesy of Hellbilly via Bockyhorsey!!! "I can not tell a lie," this was like George Washington placing his right hand on the trunk and left hand on the branches of a cherry tree...and ringing it out like a towel just above my glass. INCREDIBLE!!! Pours a soft red with small rose foam. Washington cherry blossoms and freshly baked pie tease the nose. The flavor combines buttery flaky crust, sweet ripened fruit, and cherry tartness. This beer is distinguished, legendary, and should be celebrated!!!
