Soft, mildly carbonated, and sugary texture. I smelled cherries, but I tasted dried apricots all over the place, lingering long in the cheeks. Sweet malts (cake) and a very, very mild bitterness. Hint of tartness ... and even a touch of a cinnamon-like aroma. Overall, somewhat reminiscent of Transatlantique, but New Glarus is sweeter and heavier. Other than being just a little too sweet, it's a really fine beer. Kaya161 (1129), San Diego, California, USA

Reddish-ornage colour with a pink head. Nice cherry flavour without being too sweet. Very nice!! Shadallion (526), Sacramento, California, USA

Cherries again in the flavor along with a malt texture. Slight iron and acid in the finish. A classic in this style. omhper (12298), Stockholm, Sweden

As true a cherry flavour a beer could have! Tart, acidic, wonderfully dry finish, yet very refreshing. Delicious, Sensational! Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

This is one of my fav beers. This beer pours a deep garnet red with lots of hazyness. Nice pink head lasts for a while. Aroma is ripe cherries, oak and other woods. The flavor is mostly cherries and the oak aging can be detected, but is int over bearing. Very vineous and sour, but definatly desirable. The palate is sprizy and fizzy but very round and full. AWESOME brew! Rockinout (946), Kent, Ohio, USA

Cherry taste is near perfect, not too tart and not too sweet (hey- that’s a lemonade commercial!) The nose is more of the little bar cherries that garnish drinks, like Drew says, maraschino. (we sampled this at the same time). Carbonated, and the wonderful "cherriness" of this brew is not too much.
