| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 1, 2003 Big cherry aroma, hazy reddish colour, with a large pink head, plenty of lace. As true a cherry flavour a beer could have! Tart, acidic, wonderfully dry finish, yet very refreshing. Delicious, Sensational! Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

This is one of my fav beers. This beer pours a deep garnet red with lots of hazyness. Nice pink head lasts for a while. Aroma is ripe cherries, oak and other woods. The flavor is mostly cherries and the oak aging can be detected, but is int over bearing. Very vineous and sour, but definatly desirable. The palate is sprizy and fizzy but very round and full. AWESOME brew! howie (549), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma is incredibly intense authentic cherry with some estery fruitiness showing through. Flavor is dominated by tart cherries, huge malts are hard to notice unless you plug your nose while sipping (seriously!). Dominant fruit and lack of classicly stylish qualities cause some to rate this lower (too much cherry! not enough beer!). This is carefully, painstakingly, no-expense-spared, finely crafted stuff and I'm lucky to have easy access to it.

Musty, fermented cherry aroma. Complex flavor of dark ripe cherries. Sour and acidic but not mouth-puckering, moderately sweet, and some nice bitterness. Oak comes through in the flavor. Has some tannic qualities as well. Better than New Belgium La Folie, this is a terrific concoction. Thanks CaptainCougar. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 3, 2004 Thanks Mr Facto for sending this one down to the Noog. A dark red apperance. The smell is very cherry, sorry didnt mean to rhyme. The flavor is sweet up front but turns quite sour after a few sips. A sour cherry flavor dominates with some tart apples detected in the background. Not as sour as many of the fruit lambics, and not as sweet as many fruit beers. The balance seems to be perfect. Extremely good! GregClow (2498), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hazy orangey-red with a wispy pink head. Aroma reminded me of cherry cough syrup at first, and my wife smelled cherry Life Savers - but once it set for a few minutes, we all agreed that it smelled like a fresh baked and delicious cherry pie. Same with the flavour - a bit medicinal at first, but then the cherry pie notes kicked in... mmmm, this is damn good! irishsnake (353), Oakland, California, USA

The aroma is cherries-real cherries, not the cherry robotussin you get out of a lot of these beers. The flavor is full of tangy sour cherries backed up with a nice, light malt body. The finish is dry and just a touch tart. Excellent beer.
