Cloudy orange color with a lingering, yet small. Nice fruity aroma. What a taste. Great balance between sweetness and bitter/tartness. Cherries, among other fruits. Such a great taste. Doesn't kick you in the palate either, which is quite impressive. A very well made brew. skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA

This aroma is appealing because it is so fresh and true in character. The appearance is as expected, completed by a carrot top. Flavor is equally tart and fruit sweet (not sugar sweet). No notes of oak detected. Finish was surprisingly warm, with decent hopping. Of course, this is a beer worth seeking. shrubber85 (2903), Wallhalben, Germany

Cloudy red-orange-brown with small head. Sweet and sour cherry with a hint of mulling spices - similar to the sweet fruit lambics. Slightly dry acidic finish. A true work of art - phenomenal fruit beer. Metalhead (571), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Pours a deep hazy ruby red with an average off white creamy head that left some lacing. Aroma was all cherry...hopdog put it right - cherry pie. Also picking up some tart cherry, but pretty much cherry pie, crust and all. Flavor pretty much matched the aroma to the T. I don’t have many words for this beer. But this one just blew me away. SoLan (1417), Orlando, Florida, USA

Huge fresh cherries - sweet and tart, cherry tree leaves, cinnamon/nutmeg/brown sugar like spice, wood, cherry pie, fruit roll up. Medium, balanced body. Easily the best non sour fruit beer I’ve had. We popped it before heading to Wisconsin, and Im glad we did, because we liked it enough to stock up while we were there! Aroma is all sweet and sour cherry. No medicine or acidicness in the aroma at all. Flavor is much the same. Cherries, cherries, and more cherries. I dont see how a beer so dominated by cherries could be complex, but this one man ages it. Hint of hops and wood, and a touch of grains. This is an amazing beer, thanks again JCB!
